| Johnson Railway Service, Inc. (JRS) has been in the locomotive rebuilding business since 1974. In 1996 an established railcar repair facility and an established short line railroad were added to the locomotive and locomotive field service operations. The railcar repair facility was needed in order to expand the locomotive rebuilding operations. The railcar repair and rebuilding business compliments the locomotive work and provides a full product line of shop and field services to short line railroads, industries which have their own locomotives and railcars, fleet owners, and special order work. |
| Special order work includes specialty equipment including industrial transfer cars and turn tables, custom designed locomotives and railcars, head end power assemblies, track utility vehicles, locomotive cranes, etc. |
